Someone asked me the other day if I would be doing a big launch party or book signing, and I hadn't thought too much about it, and then I said no.

I want to release this book, share this gut-wrenching story, and exist in a private, quiet space with the self-soothing thoughts that I accomplished yet another goal I set for myself.

More than fanfare, I want people to digest the story. I want people to walk away understanding that we can't continue to operate in our silos and be unbothered and judgmental with those who are suffering and in mental pain.

No, we can't save everyone from everything -- but if you have ever called yourself a friend, mentor, lover, family member -- take care of the ones you love.

That's my hope for the rest of humanity.
